Farming is the backbone of any large economy and India is no
exception to this. A huge portion of the Indian workforce earns their living
from the farming sector. The farm produce also feeds the working population
which keeps the economy running.
India has a huge population, and to feed this huge population,
farmers have to cultivate a lot of crops in their fields and have to make the
farming process as much productive as possible.
However, the farming sector has to face a lot of challenges, and
some of the biggest challenges the sector faces are a lack of proper channels
of communication and mismanagement in logistics and supply. But thanks to the
latest technological advancements, these problems are getting solved and the
farming sector is becoming more and more efficient every year. A farmer can now
easily connect with a trader with the help of a farmers portal.
In the past, farmers had to carry all of their farm produce to the
markets to sell them. In the markets, most of the farmers only had limited
options and could sell to only a limited number of traders who are present in
the market. But thanks to the farmers registration portal, a farmer can
easily find the traders online and connect with them.
As farmers had a very limited option of whom to sell their farm
produce, they had very little option for negotiations. As a result, farmers had
no other choice other than to sell their farm produce for a low amount of
money. For this reason, the likelihood of farmers making a loss was very high.
But thanks to the portals, farmers can now sell their farm produce at the right
price and can make good profits.
Even traders have also benefitted greatly from the portals for
farmers. Just like farmers had limited choices on whom to sell their farm
produce, traders also had limited options for purchasing the farm produce. As a
result, many traders were forced to purchase substandard farm produce. But
thanks to the portals, traders can compare a lot of farm produce from different
farmers and can opt for the best farm produce.
